Section 8 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85/1993, requires that companies do more than simply issue instructions, we are required to re-affirm their commitment to the Safety and welfare of its employees.  All reasonable steps must be taken to improve and maintain a high safety management standard.

Employees are to be instructed in their obligations in terms of the above Act.
That all divisions are to:

Implement the provisions of the company’s Health and Safety Manual and documented process; Submit monthly reports to the company’s Executive Committee, Owners and Board of Directors relating to compliance, and advise the Chief Executive Officer and or appointed 16.2 of all incidents which are reportable in terms of the provisions of Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and governing regulation.
